CWE 2.0 Week 04

The final week with CWE finally came and with it was a whole bunch of people who feel like family of Whisper Mountain Camp! While there were a few who were not part of the Florida pack (they were amazing too!), most people were from a Life Group down in Fort Myers, FL! They have been long time friends of the ministry and deep encouragers throughout Marty and Patti’s lives. EVERYONE was a blessing and helped bring about the completion of the building!

This last week was all about the painting and caulking and installing the bathroom essentials and the water heaters! I’m pretty sure they thought they’d be rolling paint forever!

Not only did they get the building completed (except for what we will do to finish it — carpet squares, etc), but they also had time for a few other projects too! They helped us get a few things ready for campers — put together a few more benches for our outdoor worship area, washed the bus for hauling campers to the lake, and scrubbed all the kayaks and canoes for the lake! We are entirely grateful for their hearts to want to go above and beyond.

All throughout these weeks, the humility of the people, the sacrifice of the people who came through was something that deeply moved us as staff. Being part of the body of Christ is something special, and to have all the fingerprints from so many people who come from so many walks of life is just too beautiful for words.

Even though I’ve tried to document the work of CWE and their volunteers through these weeks, not everyone is pictured, all the work or special touches or extra sacrifices are never seen or captured, but our God sees every bitl and is gracious and kind enough to bless each one for their service to Him!
