Camp at Whisper Mtn!
While our goal is to Proclaim Christ, we do this in more ways than just evening teaching time! We use all the fun and adventure to turn them to Jesus too! Not only are campers enjoying shared experiences with their group which bonds them together in deeper ways, but we also use them as platforms for the gospel, to help them understand more about their place in the world and the purpose that comes with that!
Almost everything we do gets a debrief afterwards to help them know how to practically apply what they are experiencing to their walk with the Lord, or need for one! Our staff have been doing an amazing job this summer being intentional to apply those lessons, looking for opportunity to have gospel conversations, and leading them to look for God at work all around them.
Getting outside is fun and loved (and we’d argue necessary!), but you know what we hear they love the most?
WORSHIP!
How incredible that they find their moments focused on Jesus and surrendered in worship to be their highlight? The other things we hear that are their highlights are feeling loved and known, finding belonging in their group, and not feeling alone anymore with whatever they are facing. Exemplifying the practice of turning to God in prayer in all things is a privilege and hearing from them that they go home better equipped then when they came is such a win!
Proclaiming Jesus looks different depending on the day, but by the end of the week there’s no doubt teens have had the opportunity to turn to our gracious and loving God! A week at Whisper Mountain Camp is fun and full of adventure, but it’s also deeply intentional and full of Jesus! We want to proclaim to you that Jesus is working powerfully through Whisper Mountain Camp! FOR HIS GLORY ALONE!
